Their pricing is so out of whack it's comical.

I was killing some time today waiting on a friend for lunch and I went into the CC store.

I am a little interested in Aretera Shafts . They want $200.00 more for the shaft because of installing a adapter and SST Puring.

I didn't even know people were still pushing SST Puring any more because the quality of shafts are so much better and they don't really have splines and more. I am not a real believer of this.

For grins I asked the guy (who was very nice) how much 8 Srixion X5 irons with MMT shafts would be with their build process.

The quote was $2800.00 plus tax with a special $300.00 promo allowance, Wow !

220.00 per head

169.00 per shaft

The main thing that I called B.S. on was the statement that the MMT shafts that they could get were better than the MMT shafts that I could order directly.

The do sell some shafts that you can’t get anywhere else.

You're getting the shaft all right.

I’m not saying they aren’t stupid expensive, I’m just saying they do offer a few shifts that you can’t get anywhere else. I even had a tour rep try to get me some shafts they fit me for a while back and he couldn’t even get them.

I did a full bag fitting there as their selection is top notch. They were running a special for $100 fitting with the purchase of a custom club. I got a vokey wedge with a custom grind and shaft for $400. It was $300 for the wedge, which was pretty ridiculous but the 4 hour fitting is what I was most interested in. They made me a spec sheet and I got someone else to build them off that. The place was dead but I guess their margins are so good that they don’t have to sell a lot.

No different than when Impact Precision told 4 different guys at Walden they each played the only set of a shaft in the city.

It’s a total racket. They have Trackman and every head/shaft combo you can imagine and that’s nice, but their upcharge is outrageous.

What?? I’ve been there for the last 6-7 yrs and know several people at my club who go there. First I’m hearing of shenanigans.

I've heard nothing but good things also but right after they opened someone there told 4 different guys they were the only person in town with some (I think it was Oban) iron shafts.

Dallas golf has every shaft made and they are a lot cheaper.

They even put on a adapter no extra charge when they ship.

Club upgrade - it's their business model

“The stock options at Titelist are crap - but allow me to show you these shafts that were cored in Antarctica - only $1350 per shaft - no refunds”

We had a horrible experience with them - they don't really fit you for quality they just try to frame Their upgrades is my experience... But we've been through this before on this forum - I guess some locations are different

4.5 hours of time and a wedge that would cost $300 directly from wedge works seems pretty normal. You guys realize Vokeys aren’t $99 anymore. Especially with LAGP shafts.

No they don't. Unless it's a shaft that is made exclusively for them. And if that's the case, it's just another tactic to dupe a customer into purchasing overpriced gear. I'm in a similar line of work, and we get a lot of people who send their fitting sheets to us. CC pricing is astronomical. ESPECIALLY if you have an idea what their cost is on aftermarket golf shafts.
