I am so sick of shooting low 80’s with too many putts
Example last two rounds I’ve payed
Both 83, 37 putts and 38 putts
I’ve tried everything and actually gotten better with fitted putter
Go to putting green....nail putts, bring to course miss on low side, high side, every which way

Are you hitting a lot of greens and 3 putting a lot?

Are you missing a lot of greens and not sticking your chips close enough to 1 putt?

Relax.

Focus on stroke, not result.

Make sure you know where you are aimed.
Square the face.
Look at target.
Let it flow.

Best advice other than get a practice putting mat and eye-line mirror for your home: Adopt the attitude of not being afraid to miss putts and focus on keeping your body and head still throughout the putt.

Get a routine, use it every time, all the time. Like others said, think about the stroke and not so much about the result. I’d rather hit a putt exactly like I wanted and miss than mis-hit a putt and make it. Focus on the speed, get that down, then concentrate on the line. Get your wrist out of putting and try different grips. All I got...

One thing that really helped me is once you set up over the ball and after take that last look toward hole... have a death stare at the point on the ball where your putter will impact. Do not pick your head up... just putt through the ball. You will gain more consistency in contact point and moving the ball along the designated line.

Just gotta find something to get your confidence up on the course.

When you’re on a practice green you DGAF, take that attitude to the course.

First, make your stroke at the middle of the ball. A lot of putters hit the bottom of the ball and have inconsistent distance on putts. Striking the middle of the ball promotes top spin which keeps the ball on line and maintains consistency.

Second, as Harvey Penick said, "give luck a chance." Hit a putt that dies at the hole and don't try to hit it 2-3 feet past the hole.

Third, swing inside to inside. Most putters think you should take it straight back, but that is impossible if you rotate your shoulders (which you should do). The putting stroke is an arc, not a straight line.

Fourth, pick a spot on your line halfway between your ball and the cup. Putt at the spot and not the cup.

Lastly, have someone stand behind you on the course and see if you are lined up correctly, if you are cutting your putt (a very common mistake) and look at your swing path. A lot of short missed putts are a result of misalignment.

I had the yips and went to a long putter over 23 years ago. I would not be playing golf today if I didn't switch. I still can't putt regularly with a short putter, but I am one of the best putters at our club with the long putter. Yes, it is still legal as long as I don't anchor the club. I putt off the toe of the putter on short downhill putts to keep it online and on left to right putts to start it online.

Good luck and let me know if any of these tips help you. Nothing like confidence to get you thru the green on a good round.

Get an arm lock putter and change everything to copy Bryson. It transformed him from well below average to one of the best on tour

Here’s a putting tip:

Don’t get putting tips from a bunch of 20 handicappers.

This.

Plus keep at it and just focus on 2 putting.

The 1 putts will start to fall if you keep to your routine.

Just avoid 3 putting and those rounds in the 70s will come.

The answer is simple: Seemore! I've always had a poor stroke and could never get the concept of making an arc with the putter. I was inconsistent to say the least; my 4-5 birdie looks inside 12 feet rarely went in. I was probably the best two putt par putter around. I decided to switch to a Seemore putter and I've never had more confidence with my putter than I do now. If you trust the concept and practice with it for a couple of rounds, I guarantee that you will get down to 30 putts or less in no time. Good luck man, I've been there.

I had trouble with alignment. Started with left hand on hip and putter 3 to 4 inches behind the ball. Alignment got better and 3 putts went away. More good days than bad.
