I’m guessing Atchafalaya is still in bad shape?

Can confirm, many tees and greens are in bad shape. Played there today, fortunately it only cost me $28.

The course itself is flat, but tight and in good shape

Not tight at all compared to what it was in the 80’s and 90’s thanks to Ida.

Odd coming from someone who's always ragged on the place as a former employee

That’s nonsense. Do I know you?

I get better reports about Grand Ridge in Luling… which isn’t a bad option if you can’t get on TPC. Grand Ridge is a fun little tract.

Don’t downvote this. The greenskeeper has made that course into a nice little gem. I’m slightly biased because I learned to play golf on that course, but it’s freaking awesome to go back and see it looking far better than it has any business being.

Eventually some big course is going to pluck him away with money they just can’t hope to match. But I do hope folks enjoy it while it lasts.

2 greens and 3 tee boxes to be exact. They are sodding the tee boxes in a few weeks with zyosia. 2 and 5 are improving but sodding the bad areas as well.
