If so, was it a beneficial as you thought it was going to be? I've always thought of putting more of a feel thing and it had way more to do with the Indian than the arrow. But I've been struggling with the flat stick as of late and thought about getting fitted before I spend another $350 + on a putter.

I got fitted at Club Champion on their SAM putting lab. I was using the correct style putter for my stroke. They adjusted the lie a degree or so, and put a couple of strips of lead tape on the sole. This helped to stabilize my stroke to where it was more repeatable. I didn't think there would much to it, when I went in, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I fitted myself for a putter after spending an absurd amount of money on various putters over the last 15 years.

I got fitted for an Edel putter and after working with it for some time, my putting has drastically improved.

You use the putter more than any other club...I think it should be the first thing you get fitted for tbh

That makes sense and I've heard it before but I always associated putting with feel. I just got back into playing last summer after a 7 year hiatus, everything has improved dramatically since I got back into it besides my putting. It's been nothing short of miserable, like shooting 83 with 8 3 putts miserable.

Fitted for a putter????? You do realize golf is supposed to be fun right? Why are you making it so difficult and stressful?

Being good is fun. Playing shitty golf is not fun.

Never been fitted, but I spent about an hour with that Tommy armour no 3 mallet that won most wanted 2 years in a row yesterday and that thing is legit for $100. Buying one Monday, the weight of it is incredible to me. It’s perfectly balanced, great feel.

So easy to align, this will be my first mallet putter.

I think the TA is MyGolf Spy’s most wanted mallet putter for 2019

I’ve done an Edel fitting. One aspect that nobody has touched on is the visual of the putter in relation to your aim. The good thing about the Edel fitting was the various combinations of lines and hozzle setups that affect your aim. It’s amazing how a different look makes your brain react differently when it comes to aiming.
