Anyone familiar with the current course conditions of these 3 courses and which is better at the moment? Playing somewhere tomorrow afternoon with my nephew and due to an obligation tomorrow evening I need to stay in the general proximity of these 3 courses.

Santa just punched their greens. Having said that, prolly still better than Greystones. If money isn’t really an issue, just go to Pelican Links. If it is, and your nephew is a beginner then the Lakes. Santa will be slammed

Sounds like Pelican is my best option. I actually played there this past Saturday and the greens were rolling pretty good, so I’ll probably just go back there. Was just curious how the others were at the moment.

Santa Maria already recovering well. They’ll be absolutely primo a couple weeks from now. Place is packed tighter than Ryan Theriot’s bottom lip.

If you are willing to drive to Zachary, Beaver Creek is in great shape.

I played there about a month ago and they had just punched greens. Greens were sandy and bumpy but the rest of the course was in great shape. If Beaver was a little closer to Prairieville that would be my go-to public course. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to drive out there tomorrow.

Played there about 3 weeks ago and I doubt I go back for a while ... the greens were in horrendous shape.

Santa Maria was just punched about a week and a half ago but they are good now. I actually played last Tuesday for $15 and had to play the front 9 twice and it was quite a round lol. My parents live there and I walked on holes 8, 10 & 11 today I’m playing tomorrow around 10:45

I played 36 holes at Greystone Sunday and 18 the Sunday before that. There’s a few bad greens on the course but its getting better. 11 & 12 had sprinkler issues I overheard somebody saying

Beaver is in phenomenal shape, played out there a few weeks back and I was really impressed

Both are in good shape currently. Played both in the last week or so.

Take advantage of the dry weather and play Greystone my advice

Played greystone on Wednesday and the greens were great aside from maybe 2 holes that had some recovery left on the outer edges that didn’t effect me at all. I’d say it’s definitely worth playing now.
