How much golf are you playing that you can completely ditch golf clubs after half a month? I feel like your Srixon thread was 2 weeks ago.

I'm not even questioning money spent on clubs. I question the benefit of it. It's like switching mental thoughts 20 times during a round because the one that had been working for a while didn't work for one swing.

I don't disagree. My 9 year old G30 driver and stock tour-stiff shaft is reliable and long because I know exactly what to expect from it every time I pull it out of the bag. I wouldn't have the same confidence with it if I changed to a new model/shaft during the acclimation period and then repeated that every 3 months after.
I'm just fascinated at the probability that he spends more on golf equipment than I make at my job in a single year.

Just bought my first dozen of the Z Star Diamond and the new Mizuno Tour balls and I'll have my golf ball search done. Not expecting much from the Srixon balls, they feel like a rock right out of the sleeve.

Do you order online or go into a retail store? Because if you go to a retail store, when you walk in I bet their eyes light up similar to when Norm walked into Cheers

I had nothing to do with Mingo getting banned and I have said that many times. He was just fodder.

I played 3 rounds with them. The heads were fine, the steel fiber shafts felt like rebar and the feedback was not what I wanted.
I'm retired and live on a course. I did ok in life, so I experiment.
I would never tell anyone how to spend their money. I'm 68 now, my golf shelf life is getting shorter, why not enjoy it.
Not hurting anyone am I. Some guys on here want my feedback on different clubs.
If it offends some, don't read it I guess.

I bought a set of Ping I210's a couple years ago with the steelfibers and I couldn't stand those shafts, I agree with your description of them.

They will send you a demo.
Are you mostly looking at irons now?
I thought you were sticking with some MMT shafts?

I got new irons and my member/member partner wanted to try my old ones.
We both are playing better!

My new irons will have the MMT Shafts. They won't arrive for a couple of weeks, so I'm going to the farm for a week.
When I get back, I will check out the 699 iron demo program.
