Wife and I are trying to decide where to spend a week in August. We would prefer to stay at a golf resort. I have an inquiry at Pinehurst and Bandon Crossing.
Do any of you have any past experience at other places you would recommend?

Broadmoor In Colorado Springs. Two great courses. Spa for wife if she doesn’t play golf. Won’t be too hot. If not there, need to go north to avoid heat. Whistling Straits, Michigan, Maine, etc.

Which resorts have “easier” courses?

I’m not that good so I don’t want to just get beaten to death day after day.

Do most resorts sort of have an easier track?

Paynes Valley. Of the 3 courses, I’d say two are open and forgiving fairways . Really fun place.

Badon Dunes in August. Less wind during this time. 65 degrees in the day, 55 at night. Courses are amazing.

I second this. Great place and plenty of excursions you can take to see the scenery.

Northern Great Lakes area in the summer has always been a place I wanted to try. Never been.
