I've been seeing a lot of posts on social media lately about different "kits' that allow you to take any shoes and turn them into golf shoes.

A company has been selling kits that come with 16 cleats (8 for each shoe), a screw driver and a sharpie. Basically you have to create your own pilot hole and then screw the cleats into place, turning any shoe into a golf shoe.

Curiosity got the best of me and I ordered a kit. It comes in today and I'm going to give it a try. Have any of the GB pros used any of these kits yet? What do ya'll think about them?

I honestly may try that. I’ve got a pair of sperrys that I would wear if they had spikes.

Hell I’ve said that about a lot of shoes. If they only had spikes.

problem with sneaker spikes is they don't have a hard toe so you're jamming your toe into the ground every time you follow thru

Have fun drilling holes into the bottom of your shoe. Hope you don’t have anything that has air in it cause it’s gonna pop it.

research customcleats.com, you can send them any shoe and they will convert them without drilling into your shoes.

Had a friend try these out this summer. Great concept, but he had spikes falling out after a couple of rounds. Maybe it was just the shoe he was using.
