So, what does it mean? And how can golfers apply it?
Some days you just don't have it. It's part of golf. Accepting that is key. Learn to appreciate the wins where you can find them, and take pride in making the most of your bad days.

Sometimes golf works better when we let go.
For whatever reason, sometimes the body will resist the motion, and some shots are not accessible that day.
So instead of trying to hit whatever shot shape you prefer, you accept the way the club is moving that day and adjust accordingly. Just let go of forcing the swing, and allow the swing to flow that day.

It is going to draw if it kills me, or I run out of balls first

Tin Cup?
Why is everyone in love with a draw?
Nicklaus played a fade.

The draw is sexy, but it's stubborn and is prone to not listen

Rahm also, wonder if it's a body type thing

I hate my draw. I tried for years to dump it, went to good teachers, open stance and all the rest.
I have had way too many balls either fly or roll out of bounds / trouble on me because of the hard draw spin.
The only good news is now that I'm getting older and my clubhead speed has dropped, I do a little hit straighter balls now.

Further is better right?

A fade is great if you’re a long hitter. I need yardage

This is something I have to remind myself. If my score isnt trending toward my goal for that round, i tend to pout instead of resetting the goal and going for that.

This is exactly what great players do.
There was like a 6 month span where Morikawa could not hit a fade and he just had to adjust.

People have natural shot shapes. I’d love to play a fade, i don’t need distance and would benefit me if i could hit a consistent fade as i do believe it’s easier to repeat. But hitting a fade doesn’t make you a better golfer just because Nicklaus or any other play does. Hit your stock shot when things go bad. Most amateurs aren’t good enough to work the ball both ways anyway.

When I started missing greens long and left I decided it was time to get rid of the draw. That extra rollout missing long and left was a hole killer. Come to find out, playing a fade was just more natural anyway. Haven’t looked back.
The only time I play a draw now is if I absolutely have to
