I want a team shakeup but even though he's 11th in standings, there's no way he puts Maverick McNealy in there right?
I think the top 9 are locked in. I just don't see him excluding a guy that is top 9 in points, especially given how he was left off last go around.
Keegan should play but if he doesn't, it gets really interesting. Like how far down the line in points will he reach?
I hope Novak makes it. Sam too but no way he takes someone 16th in points that hasn't won since the 22/23 season. I wouldn't take him either.

Agree on 1-9 basically being locks at this point. Can't really see Keegan leaving himself out either - especially at 10. He's also the kind of guy that could go just straight 1-12 and call it a day.

I didn't know who he was until the British Open (I think) thread when someone in there picked him to win. Guy is apparently a top 20 golfer in the OWGR.

Icegator337's Team
1. Scottie Scheffler (AQ)
2. J.J. Spaun (AQ)
3. Xander Schauffele (AQ)
4. Russell Henley
5. Bryson DeChambeau
6. Harris English
------------------------------
7. Justin Thomas
8. Collin Morikawa
9. Ben Griffin
10. Keegan Bradley
14. Cameron Young
15. Patrick Cantlay
Cantlay is coming off a good week, thrives on the NE cold season grasses they'll be playing on at Bethpage and has a great Ryder Cup history
Cam Young is in form, playing great golf right now. His distance is going to be a great course fit at Bethpage and his hot putter is important in fourball matches

Won’t happen but outside the box I’d take Gooch over someone like Novak
2023 Gooch is a very different thing than 2025 Gooch. No thanks.

I think that's on the mark right now.
One of Novak, Burns, Gotterup, or McNealy could potentially steal Cam Young's or Cantlay's spot if they go after it and get it the next two weeks.
I'll say it again: after all the hoopla from earlier this year on The Year of the European, that is a very, very good American team. Seven of the top ten in datagolf, and the only one outside the top 21 is Cam Young at 27 who has been the 8th best player in the world in DG over the last 3 months.
For contrast, Europe has 3 of the top 4 (Rory, Rahm, Fleetwood), but their next best are Fitzpatrick at 12, Straka at 15 (also both playing well, given), and Ludvig at 16. But then their next best are Harry Hall at 18, Hovland at 22, Hatton at 23, and Aaron Rai at 24 (two of those four are likely not to make the team). Bobby Mac will make it at 26, but then Alex Noren likely won't at 31. Lowry has dropped all the way to 40. Justin Rose, who had been playing like shite all summer until last week, is at 47. Matt Wallace likely won't make it at 48. Nicolai Hojgaard is probably next and last at 52.
They will likely end up something like:
McIlroy (2)
Rahm (3)
Fleetwood (4)
Fitzpatrick (12)
Straka (15)
Aberg (16)
Hovland (22)
Hatton (23)
MacIntyre (26)
Lowry (40)
Rose (47)
N Hojgaard (52)
That's half their team currently rated lower than the second-worst American on the team.

Just watched Gotterup hit it in the drink twice already today. He’s playing himself out of consideration.
I’m not sure on Young, but I can’t really strongly argue for anyone else, so looks like a solid list. McNealy could maybe take Young’s spot with a solid BMW.
