All my old golf buddies either moved, no longer play or whatever.

Any ideas on finding new golf buds? Trying to find a regular weekly game. Ideally a group at Greystone that is looking to add someone or hell, even a few singles like myself that are interested in starting a group.

Here or golfwrx u can see if anyone is looking for someone to play with. Or just go to a course and get paired up with a group and make friends

Here is probably your best bet. Pretty sure there are a couple people that belong to greystone that post regularly on here. I would imagine Greystone has a game you can join as most public courses do. I know most "dogfights" consist of getting automatically paired with other people and that's a great way to meet new people.

Are you a member at Greystone or just a guy that plays at Greystone?

Not a member. Play often. Have considered joining.

Join a club and finding a regular game is pretty easy. I used to be a member at a club years ago when I played a lot and had a couple groups I played with regularly. Now I don't play much and usually end up booking a tee time as a single, some times they pair me up and if not busy I just go solo.

Joining is probably the easiest way, but if you are decent at golf, play on some brec tournaments or the BR Am Tour stuff. You'll meet a good bit of people that way.

It’s tough to get back what you once had. We used to regularly have 3 tee times every weekend and play all kind of games. Now we are down to a few people. Used to care a lot about the game and was down to a 1 or 2 handicap and played in a lot of the BR tourneys. Now play maybe once a month with a couple of buddies. Still shoot in mid 70s but fishing and family have taken over my life.
I would suggest if there is somewhere you really like to play, try to get in with the regulars and ask course manager if he knows anybody that’s in the same boat. I don’t know how old you are but it seems life gets in the way from mid 30’s to mid 40’s but then groups start forming again as people get older and look for opportunities to get out and play.

Good luck

Thanks for all the advice. Good thoughts...and admittedly a laugh at the Grinder comment. I am probably going to end up joining Greystone. In the meantime, if anyone is looking to get in a practice round out there...hit me up.

Id rather play by myself than in a twosome with some guy I don't know and might not even like

Getting paired up at public courses I have met some really interesting guys.

Two out of three are really enjoyable and people I would not meet in my work/social circle.

You get a wide variety of guys, unlike at a club when it is the same demographic of lawyer, doctor, lawyer, CPA, Doctor etc.
