What can you guys tell me about this course? I was in the park for another reason and couldn't take my eyes off it. Based on the few holes I was able to see, it looks like a beautiful course that could be a fun little trip from CENLA

Really cool track. Some quirky holes, not too long but tight. Funny you ask because my golf group went up a year ago for the balloon festival, we stayed in NTZ and played Duncan, Beau Pre, and Pinola Woods and went out every night and ate and drank. Wives shopped while we golfed. Was a great weekend. Wife just asked this morning on the way to church why we didn’t do it this year.

Front is tight. Back opens up quite a bit. Not overly long. But it was in fantastic condition, especially for a muni.

Front 9 is nice for a muni. Has some fun holes. Back nine is the old original nine holes and pretty much wide open.

Played it a couple weeks ago and it was in the best condition I think I've ever seen.
The front 9 was always decent shape. But they really got the back 9 more playable
Front 9 will kick your arse if you can't hit straight

I'd like to see the are get some rain before I organize a trip. The carts looked like dust-bowl era wagons.

Im sure it's bad right now. Hell most places are

Many years ago, they sprayed the greens and accidentally had roundup in the tank. Killed the shite out of them. They had a big tournament so they decided to spray paint them. Was like putting on ice

It’s a tale of two 9’s. One 9, closest to the road, is a newer design and build. Modern style. The other 9 is very old school with greens virtually level to the fairways and almost no topography. It’s a fun course to play while staying in town. Mix in Beau Pre and it can be a fun 2 night golf trip with some great food.
