Used to love playing there because the greens were always primo.

Is this still the case?

Yes, they are unreal. Crazy how a lot of the low budget courses have amazing greens. I remember a few years ago False River CC was the same way.

Joe Bart might have the best (public) greens in New Orleans.

how would you compare them to a course like Beaver Creek or La tour?

I havent played there in about 3 years but back then they were immaculate.

Fast, no dead spots, rolled amazing.

I don’t play too often, maybe once every couple of months, but have friends who are members and yes, there are some really really good golfers who play there.

Just playing in am events around town, that place has a sneaky good membership. Not at all what you would expect from a 9 hole course in Zachary.

Definitely some solid players. On the verge of 3 or 4 more good players joining.

A true players club, as it were.

which is fantastic because the small player's clubs have all but disappeared (sherwood, fairwood, etc.)

I think they are some of the best around. The guys that keep up the course do an incredible job out there. They spend their money on the right equipment to get the job done. Last weekend they had a big turnout for the tournament.

I played it Monday, and even after the big tourney they had this past weekend, that place was awesome. None of the holes were particularly troublesome, but you have to get creative with angles on some of those holes. The greens were some of the best I've ever played. I don't know that I saw an unrepaired pitch mark the entire day.

No you can play. Don’t need to be a member. What’s your email? I’ll put you on the list
