I played Indian Bayou last week and it was in damn good shape I thought. The fairways are tight but overall I thought the course played pretty fair with good club selection. The greens are a tough read….i found that there were times when the break was sharper or flatter than what I saw. I’m no pro green reader but I’m not normally that bad. I maybe made 1-2 putts all day and I’m not that bad putting.

Overall a fun course and I would play again.

Played Kelly Sunday before last. I was a single and called on Saturday just because I wanted to play so figured I would get paired up with some folks. They said they were wide open. I literally got a 9:07 and had most of the course to myself, which was nice since I usually get paired with some wingnuts most of my solo golf trips in Destin. Course was in good shape and the apples were on point.

Thought Burnt Pine was good. Lots of forced carries and target golf, but what course in the panhandle doesn't have that? It was in great shape and way less crowded. Liked it more than anything else around Destin.

Can i interest you in Windswept Dunes? It's priced similarly to Regatta and Kelly, in worse shape, but it's an hour away.

I’ve never seen windswept in bad shape. I live in the area and belong to a private club, but I would recommend windswept as the best public course.

Agreed fully. Played it last week and it was in excellent shape and I loved the layout. One of the best rounds per $$ spent in the area.
