Driving home tomorrow from Dalllas. If the weather holds up, I wouldn’t mind playing some golf around halfway home and staying another night. Any recs? There needs to be a decent and safe hotel option, especially if I’m around Shreveport or Alexandria. If I have to go a little out of the way, that’s fine. I’m even open to avoiding interstates and doing state highways on the way. For example, I was thinking about hitting Lunberjack National in Nacidoches (sp?).

Looks like Cypress Bend Golf Club would be in your wheelhouse. I’ve been reading good reviews about it.

Recently heard news of hogs tearing up fairways pretty badly at Tamaka...

Are any of those around Shreveport or Monroe? It looks like the rain may stay south.

Tempest most likely to have same weather as shv. It’s a fun track that should drain well given the hills.

Shreveport courses Huntington and Querbes is not the best condition right now. I am playing Northwood on Friday. Tempest in Gladewater about 2 miles off of I 20 is awesome. Pine Springs about a mile off of 20 is nice and then you have Pine Dunes.
