Going up to Dallas for the LSU/UM game. Going to try and play a couple club corp courses up there. I am familiar with few clubs up north like Gleneagles and Stonebriar. I was wondering if anyone has played Timarron, Las Colinas, Shady Valley, Hackberry, Presonwood (Creek), or Brookhaven. Looking for a recommendation or places not worth the time.
Thanks

Las Colinas Country Club (not TPC Las Colinas) is an awful Golf course. I played there four times in a customer scramble and it’s just a really bad design. I’d skip that one if I were you.

I don't agree with this. It's a decent course and always in good condition. I would recommend it.

Timarron is a really good track.

The facilities are really nice. I’ve played it twice when the greens were in great shape and twice when they were hot garbage (bent grass in 90+ heat is always a challenge). I just think it’s kind of a goofy layout and not particularly interesting or fun. Just my opinion...

Looks like Timarron has an event. What about Shady Valley or Hackberry?

I've never played Preston wood, but it's supposed to be pretty good and has 36 holes. Walnut creek also has 36 holes. I've only played one 18 out there, but it's pretty good as well, but it's in Mansfield.
