I’m predicting that he wins again soon.

7th best odds at The Open (+2100)
6th best odds at the Olympics (+1600)

He’s about to play 4 weeks in a row in Europe:
LIV Andalucia (T10)
The Open (T7)
LIV UK (WIN)
The Olympics (T5)

Other than dealing with his injury for 2-3 weeks, he really hasn’t been playing that bad.
Still ranked #8 on datagolf which accounts for recent performances.
He’s won multiple tournaments/year for the last few years.

He’s had a poor year by his standards. Played poorly in majors and zero wins on the shorts tour which I am sure is a disappointment to him given the less competitive nature of that tour.

With that said his odds at the Open are enticing..

Yeah, he said as much in his press conference yesterday. So far, he would rate his season a 6 or 7 out of 10 bc he hasn’t won.

I would say maybe 6 to a 7 out of 10 if I had to say. But the year is not over. Still a lot to play for. It would not be unheard of to see a player finish strong and change that to maybe a 9 out of 10. So far just because I haven't won, I can't give it more than a 7.

He also had this to say when asked about where he would choose to win if he could.

With all due respect to Spain and the Olympics, there is a clear one which is the Open. That will always be big, but with some luck there could be one, or two or three. If I could choose, I would choose the three, but winning the cup and becoming - along with Seve (Ballesteros) - the only Spaniard to achieve it and to be the first Spanish player after Seve in winning 3 majors includes much more than the other two.

I am very aware of the relevance of a Gold medal in the Olympics or the importance of winning here in Valderrama, but we cannot compare them with a major.

I bet on him to win this week at +700. It’s hard for me to expect him to have an entirely bad major season as talented as he is and I’m sure he’s more motivated than he has been all season.

I figured this week could be the one he finally wins too, but I haven’t figured out where to bet on LIV events yet

Well he might be a week early & win at LIV UK. Opened with a 63 in R1

2 shot lead over Andy Ogletree & Abraham Ancer. 3 shots ahead of Cam Smith & Wolff

Rahm wins at LIV Golf UK.

Almost blew it with a bogey on 17 when he had a 1 shot lead. Tied with Hatton going into 18 & then Tyrell bogeys 18

Rahm’s odds for Olympics have gone up to 4th best at +900 on some books, but I just got him at +1400 on MGM.

Won’t be easy to beat Scheffler or Schauffele though

This might be only the second or third week I didn’t bet Rahm to win on LIV (legit forgot they had an event)

Not good by me.

I saw rahm and the fans getting into it yesterday.

What did he shoot today? I know he was a couple back going into it.

-4 under 67. Ogletree started the day off 2 shots ahead, but he had like 3 doubles today. Finished T6

Lowest score today was Joaco with a 65 but he started off 6 back. Rahm’s -8 in R1 was the lowest score all weekend

I’m sure that $4 million got in Ogletree’s head

I think he’ll be fine with his $535k

Brings his year long total to $2.4M

He’s by far been the best out of the 4 guys who earned their way on to LIV this season & should be back next year.

Oh, I’m sure he’s alright . But that $4 mil would have been completely life changing.

It seems like every day there is something about Rahm and LIV.

Of course with the cash that he got, he should be able to put up with anything.

"19th HoleJon Rahm and caddie fume at rowdy fans during LIV Golf UKPublished 4 hours ago on Jul 29, 2024By Matt Vincenzi

Towards the end of his second round at LIV Golf UK by JCB, Jon Rahm got distracted by some fans prior to a shot.

The Spaniard was on the par-4 16th when he was getting ready to hit his third shot from short of the green. Right before he went to strike the shot, fans could be heard yelling, which Rahm was not a fan of.

After Rahm threw his hands up in disgust, his caddie yelled over to the fan section.

“Yeah, it’s ‘Golf but Louder’ but not when you’re yelling in our f—ing backswing, d—head.”
