Carved out of Sunday game

I have Sunday game with my father in law, his step son and the step son’s cousin. We’ve been playing every Sunday for the last two months. Today, before we teed off, my father in law let me know none of them could play next Sunday, as the three of them will be playing with a guy from their darts league who is scratch. It pissed me off and I made one comment when he told me that, simply said that sucks getting aced out, I though we had a Sunday game and left it at that. The whole front nine they wouldn’t shut up about how good of a golfer this guy is. It pissed me off and I shot the best round of the year. I don’t think I want to play with these guys anymore. What would y’all do in this situation?

I don't think it's that big of a deal. Play a solo round, or surely you have some buddies who play? Or if you've got a buddy who is somewhat decent, challenge your father in law and his darts buddy to a 2 vs. 2 scramble.
My group consists of two mid handicappers, an extremely high handicapper, and my brother in law who is a scratch. We pair my BIL up with the high handicapper and it makes for a pretty competitive game, and we've won our fair share since we basically get two looks at everything

It’s a foursome. They carved me out and added darts buddy. Just pissed me off because we had Sunday game. I can play with other people. Just don’t understand why they did it Sunday morning. Not like these guys have tight schedules

Is this for one Sunday or moving forward? If it’s one Sunday seems like they just wanted to include the guy for a weekend since they play darts with him. If it’s for an on-going basis that would make me question why they don’t want to play with me anymore.

Nbd, I found another Sunday game with the guys I play with after work Wednesday. My wife is pissed im joining their game and that im not okay with being replaced by her dad whenever he feels like it.
