Cart sharing with strangers

Ended up golfing at Perdido Key gulf club last weekend. Nice little place, however, they placed me in a cart with another single. The guy said some nonsense about them leasing the carts, etc.
The guy I ended up with was a nice kid, and we had fun but it was still weird. A solo 18 in a cart while on vacation is one of the best things.
The whole ordeal was weird.
Anyone deal with that?

Living in any bigger city you’re going to be paired on a weekend everytime and most courses stay busy enough that they don’t have enough carts to send out singles solo.
I’ve never really had a bad experience. Some better than others.
Sometimes it amazes me how high maintenance people are. I typically grab my bag and go. It amazes me how much time people have to muddle through their bag for random shite, always have to have ice, stop and order a meal at the turn then choke it down on the next few holes, have to set their little snap on fan to the cart, etc. I guess I’m just simple.

Usually walk, but I guess I’d be ok unless it’s a smoker.

I was a single at LaCantera Resort GC and they placed me with 3 old guys that busted each other's balls on every hole.
It was like playing golf with the 3 Stooges. I had a blast with them and they could play pretty well.
It continued into the 19th hole. We end up with a 180.00 bar bill and they wouldn't let me pay a dime of it.

Yeah man they are real strict about numbers going off too. Got into a jam there a few summers ago. Booked 3 of us to play in the morning. My buddy had something come up that morning and couldn't make it. They told me it's a rule before a certain time that no less than 3 can go off together. The only way they even let us play is they paired the 2 of us with the 3 behind us (who were nice enough to accommodate us)

Most of the courses near where I live only allow two carts per foursome. I've gotten used to playing with strangers as I'm usually a single and I don't really mind. In fact I've had almost exclusively good experiences being paired up with others. The only bad experience I've had has been with some guy (turns out he was an Auburn fan) who threw a fit when he was told he couldn't have his own cart and had to share with me. I figured I didn't want to spend 4-5 hours with some guy raging about not having his own cart, so I just left and got a rain check.
