Almost got to once but plans fell through. It’s Chicago in September so I’m sure the course will be in fantastic shape.

I like how when you go to their website, it’s just like 3 revolving pictures and a member’s login portal. You think you can hit a drop down menu to read about the history, see a photo gallery, etc. Nope, just a hotlink that directs you right back to the page you’re on.

Yes it is very difficult to find anything on the course. Google
Images gives a few recycled pictures over and over and the only videos are a couple drone shots and maybe some old western open footage. Very very difficult to find any footage of the golf course. I will do my best to provide some footage while I’m on the course depending on how it plays out

Yes it’s amazing! I teach right down the street at cog hill ( also an amazing track!) there are more great courses in a 15 mile radius of me

I played highlands back in 2017 probably and they were selling me hard on joining at the time. They were really pushing it as a players club with a huge focus on the golf and practicing I’m not even sure if it had all of the other amenities it has now. It was kinda boring as a course. Chicago loves building courses on old dumps.

The average golf course up there is better than any average course down here just because the type of turf is better.

lol no. The average course up there is close to the best in LA. I am from
Shreveport and love my state. But LA is legit bottom 5 states for golf in the country.

Looking at the google earth satellite images, it looks like the driving range is meticulously mowed in a checkerboard pattern.
So I’m gonna call this place legit based solely on that observation.

I agree. You get much better value up there than down here, easily.
