Anyone played recently? Any other suggestions around Monroe?

Trails End in Arcadia is a little further going west than Black Bear going east. Black Bear is a better course when it's in good shape, but that's been iffy the last couple of times I've played it. I was at TE around Christmas and it was in decent shape

Trails End actually looks closer to where we are staying. Thanks

How far are you willing to drive? Mystic Creek in El Dorado is a course that will leave a lasting impression. It’s about 1:20 from Monroe while Trails End is about :45.

TE is a fun course and a good bargain, but a guy in my office said he played it two weeks ago and the greens were not not in good shape. As wet as it has been around here, the condition of any course is going to be questionable.

You could also call Calvert Crossing in Calhoun and probably get a tee time. Greens are awesome right now, but the traps are scheduled for work.

Place is awesome, but it will make you want to sell your clubs. Good call though.

That's disappointing, I actually really like playing out there for the price. There are some fun holes out there, 2 and 10 in particular in my opinion.

CC has been in very good shape the last few times I've played it, but they want to much for a tee time out there. They charge like $75 for a nonmember and you can get on Squire for $100.

Do you have to be with a member or will they just let you on? It’s like 4 miles from my BIL’s house

I'm pretty sure you can just get on. I know the pro there so I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure

Any other time I would say Calvert but they are in the middle of a lot of course renovations. It really wouldnt be worth your money right now.

This is the correct answer if you can have your pro call their pro.

Mystic is pretty much just as good in my opinion and cheaper and public, but it is quite a bit further away

If you can get on a bayou DeSiard cc it might be worth a shot it’s a nice shorter course.

DeSiard is soaked right now due to rain - so is Frenchmans.

Plan to walk at either of those two courses unless you go cart path only.
