Looking into buying some more fairway woods. Gonna buy lightly used 3 and a 5 or 7. Just wanted some opinions on what to look for. Looking for more distance with the newer technology they offer nowadays

Nothing is bad from most of the top companies. Theres no way for anyone here to tell you what will work. Go to an Edwin watts and hit them. Ping, Taylormade, Callaway, even Cobra. They’ll all be more forgiving than what existed 10-15 years ago.

Hard to be the Taylormade Stealth 2 fairways which have been discounted.

Great combo of distance and forgiveness with a good shape.

The tsr3 3w with a Ventus blue Velocore shaft is the first 3w that I never ended the honeymoon phase with. It’s just damn good. Can work it both ways and is a rocket launcher for me.

I love the ping g series woods. 3 and 5 sit so nice on the fairway. I know several titleist whores who made the switch.

Mizuno stz series, and any of the titleist series are solid and can be found relatively cheap.

Pings are good as well but imo not all perform the same.

Depends on what you prefer. PING and Callaway (except for the Triple Diamond versions) feature much more shallow faces, which can be a plus when hitting off the deck, but could prove to be harder to hit from the tee. Titleist is a little more in between and Taylor Made seems to have deeper faces, which makes it a great tee club, but maybe takes a little more work off the deck.

What suits my eye may look awful to you, so go try them out.

I bought a Titleist TSi 2 from a fellow club member a couple of years ago and it’s the best FW I’ve ever owned. Easy to hit and LONG. Imagine you can come by them fairly cheap as they’re 3 years old at this point
