Blindly booked a tee time tomorrow online. Called to ask if they had a range and the guy said “yes, but it’s currently under water”

What did I get myself into? Lol

UPDATE: Range was fine. Dude must have been high or fricking with me. Greens were recently sanded so they weren’t great. Fairways were a bit rough and hard. Fun lay out though. Plenty of water

It's a fun little course to play...

But

The hell?? Must have had a spot of rain I'd say .

Went there for a kids tournament last year and the range ran out of balls because the dude there that was supposed to drive the covered cart to pick up balls was afraid to get hit and refused to do it. The 2 guys in the clubhouse were just bitching about him.

The layout isn’t bad at all, not sure about the green conditions right now. The range is a little low but can’t buy it’s underwater unless a water line broke like it did last year.

Played out there not long ago and it was fine. No clue how the range could be under water though, that’s weird.

Good to hear.

It’s a really fun layout, but had gotten in pretty bad shape at one point. Last time I was there you could tell they pumped some money into it and were working hard to get it back in good shape.

In the 80s this was one of the best courses in the south. My Dad was club Champ here and Beau Chen.

Played it today, greens are slow and still bumpy from the sanding. The edges of the holes were very ragged, probably haven’t been moved in several days. Lots of wet, soggy areas around the greens from watering.

Wasn’t crowded and pace was good.
