Played a quick 9 at Pelican on the Lakes course. You can tell the grounds crew isn’t focused at all on it while getting the Links ready. Greens need help and the bunkers are in piss poor shape.

Played yesterday and a groundskeeper drove a tractor onto the green I was playing and started repairing bare spots... while I was on the green.

Webb has little flat weeds growing on there.

Greystone’s greens were a little fuzzy today

That makes more sense. I am sitting in truck at Webb now. Rain out. Guess we are headed to Phils for a poboy.

Yep, gonna be a wet weekend. I’m trying to decide whether to keep my tee time at copper tomorrow.

I know what you mean, but that’s not a good standard to judge by lol.

I’m reading they got half an inch. It might not be too bad today.

Gonna try to walk on and join a 7 person group tomorrow at Santa. Setting aside 6 hours for 18.

It was CPO today, but mostly dry in the fairways. If they got 3”, it drained really well.
As far as greens go, they are mostly great, but there are some damaged places here and there. They also have some weed trouble at the edges of most greens.
Greens aerification is scheduled for the 2nd and 3rd.

Played Pelican today.. course is in fantastic shape fairways are plush, rough is a bit thick and the new greens are nice. They’re a bit hard at the moment, so landing before the pin is a must. They roll nicely and not a lot of crazy movement in them. Gonna play it again tomorrow now that I know what to expect

The additional size that was added is probably the nicest addition. It makes greens like #7 more manageable.
Definitely better have good height with irons and steep decent angle on approach because these greens are pretty damn quick.
