Buddy and I are coming to BR for the Alabama series and want to catch a round in BR Friday morning. We both shoot around 95 and looking to have a good time rather than break the bank for a round. Suggestions?

Santa Maria, Webb, The Island, Beaver Creek. City park isn’t a bad spot either. The ones you’d have to drive to will be slightly nicer golf courses and the ones in town will be a little worse when it’s comes to conditions. Just depends on what you value.

Santa Maria or Webb is the good Baton Rouge public experience

The Island would be a good place, Cheap twilight rounds and a pretty sweet sunset. Great overall track. Teetimes can be hard to get which is a good thing.

Not disagreeing with you, but what is your connection to The Island?

They might not be able to make the game if they play Santa Maria between the slow play and traffic

Santa Maria in BR or Beaver Creek in Zachary. Do not play Webb or City Park.

Webb or CP is what you want for what you describe. You could probably get around CP in just over two hours and then grab beers somewhere in the Overpass era. That's a great Friday afternoon.

Definitely the best option with BR traffic and trying to get to campus. Grab beer and food at Overpass Merchant, Ivars, Zippys and slide on in to campus in 10 minutes.

City Park layout is fun for a short course.
