Same here, greens look waaaay slower, almost like they haven’t been cut/rolled in a couple days…

I would think they would tune them down for an amateur event vs the Masters.

Probably used half the reps when rolling them.

It’s usually 11-12 for the women, then they dial them up to 13-15 next weekend.

Augusta does not stimp each green to be the same. Every green has its own crew and the head of the crew decides how best to handle the speed. Some greens are meant to play much faster than others.

They haven’t done the bikini waxing yet.

They learned from last year. Cut line was +3, this year it was -1. Hard, non-receptive greens vs very soft greens.

Tournament heads never keep it the same.

Less trees, more rain added to conditions

I wonder how much they roll the greens for the drive chip and putt competition. I am watching the kids now, and I can't imagine what that experience is like for kids that young.

Is this true? If so do they tell the players the stimp speed of each green abreast of time? Nothing is more frustrating than a course with inconsistent green speeds. I thought this was just a municipal course issue

The first two rounds happen at Champions Retreat, not Augusta National

I know. Last year, the cut line after the first 2 rounds at Champions Retreat was +3. This year, it was -1.

Greens were not as receptive last year. They were firmer & rolled a 14 stimp
