From a golf course perspective NOCC doesn’t come close to any of these, it’s not even top 5 in the state

It might crack the top 3 in the New Orleans area.

I've never played Ohoope or Sage Valley, but yes I'm sure they're better. Doesn't change my point that it's a top Southern club.

Seminole, Bears Club, Johns Island and many other clubs in Florida are top tier. I've never been to ACC but I'd put NOCC right there with Valhalla.

So you're saying that it is the top club in Louisiana?

Specifically, what do you find special about Valhalla?

Because year around course condition goes to New Orleans by a pretty decent margin

There's a reason Valhalla is on Golf Digest's Top 100 and NOCC is not. I'm assuming you're a member at NOCC and have home course pride and there's nothing wrong with that but be reasonable at least.

You can randomly pull names of clubs and it would be more accurate than that list.

ETA I forgot Congaree as well. Although I've never played I know it's a top 10 club in the country. Somehow it's not ranked on the list.

Congaree

You should read up on it, it's a pretty amazing idea.

I've also never played Chicago Golf Club, but that doesn't mean it's not a legit top 10 club as well.

The people I know that have played squire say it’s incredible. And no clubs in Nola come close to comparing.

Are you talking about the clubs as a whole or just the course? Because that’s two different things completely

I've never played NOCC so I don't really know, but the nos. 2-5 in your list are consistently regarded as the top courses in the state by most people I've talked to. No one ever includes NOCC in that conversation in my experience.

I think Squire is a better design by a touch, but I'm a huge Fazio fan. Just taking the course, the conditions and the experience, I'd have to take NOCC. However, I wouldn't argue with anyone that believes Squire is better. Hell I might even argue that if I wasn't arguing for NOCC right now

People don't think NOCC is even in the conversation with Oakbourne?
