Adjusting to different speeds

I got cooked today.
Made a couple of birdies, but 3 putted from close range 3 times.
I played a different course yesterday in the rain.
It was SLOW.
Today they cut, pressed and rolled them.
It took me several holes to adjust.
The putting green was ok.
How do you adjust on the fly?

It’s impossible without a lot of mental resolve.
The only thing is to putt a lot on the practice green and trust the greens are like it

After the first couple of holes you should gain a feel for whether they're fast or slow. If I blew the first couple of putts by the hole, I change my approach to putting to a spot a foot closer than the hole actually is and trying to stop it there. Obviously vice versa if my putts are stopping short. That's what works for me.

When I played college golf I would always find a flat spot on the green and putt balls 20’ away (giving you a constant) and putt at the edge of the fringe and not a hole. Aiming at a hole makes you think of way more factors naturally than just speed. Maybe try this approach before your rounds.

I’m a big believer in the spot putting techniques like was mentioned earlier.
I really don’t care where the hole is at right before I putt. I’m putting to an imaginary hole in front/behind, left/right of the actual hole that compensates for break and speed.
It doesn’t work for everybody but I find it’s the best way to immediately change due to fast/slow greens without changing stoke.

Have a system and stick with it.
Aimpoint worked well for me on speeds. I just felt retarded standing there with my fingers in front of my face 3x a green. But it did help me grasp speed by 2-3 hole.
