Looking at the picks from the pickem thread, seems like Bryson is getting some love. Gotta think the rain and wet helps him. Some of the numbers I've seen from "socia media" are silly.

Can someone give me their Cantlay thoughts. He is a good golfer, but how is he the choice over other guys.

He was the leader for a little bit on Sunday last year

To me Cantlay is a guy that just needs to be within 6 of the leader on Sunday to compete. He can shoot stupid low round any moment. But just can’t do it consonant.

Anyone else worried we’re going to have a Monday finish? With rain and/or storms in the forecast, plus lack of daylight, it seems very much in play.

Possibly. This 1000000% helps the "bombers"

In DFS - how owned will Bryson be this week? He's going to end up probably around 30% which is insane, but warranted

They removed the old cut line (within 10 after Day 2) to speed things up. Now it’s top 50 and ties. Should be ok. Set to end at 3.

Didn’t Zach Johnson win the last time it was truly bad weather during the tournament?

Yea. They made that point on the Live From broadcast. When the weather gets iffy, weird things happen. Basically the only time a 30+ golfer has won this thing, it's a repeat champion or a crazy weather year.

My read of the situation requires you to put guys into three buckets. Short hitters, medium hitters, and long hitters. I think wet weather helps short hitters, hurts medium hitters and really helps long hitters. If it is wet, short hitters lay up on the par 5s, and medium hitters, who would have been able to get on in two, lay up. That is how ZJ won, if I recall. But with the length some of these guys, namely Bryson, are hitting it, I don't see a scenario in which Bryson isn't on in two on every par 5 and really close on most of the par 4s. I think the length of current PGA tour golfers negates the "wet brings in the short hitters at Augusta" narrative.

Sunday there is a 40% chance of showers. So they will probably get it in.

Friday and Saturday look great. Partly cloudy both days, 76 Friday and 70 Saturday.

Since when do they start players rounds on the back 9? I assumed they always started on 1. Is it because of DST?

Weather delay. Less daylight available. Want to get the rounds in.

Its strange watching this tournament without patrons. The sounds are different. Almost like I am in the round playing. Just hearing the chatter of the players, caddies, etc.

The closed captioning is even picking up players and caddies comments.
