Done it before...staying in New Orleans or Baton Rouge is your best bet. You can sober up enough to make it back. There are some nice bed and breakfast type plantation houses in the area fwiw. But they will prob film you showering FYI.
No point in staying down there. No nightlife activities or restaurants.
Also Front9 is the coolest in real life party host you can find. Would recommend....Net exaggerates his calves; don’t take him on your team

holiday inn express is new so it’s probably still nice. Staying in Thibodaux might be your best bet if you want food and Drinks after. Guess it depends on which way you coming from. Maybe Houma if you’re coming from Lafayette way.

I've stayed at Thibby before back in 08. Drove by the damn place when I was there, I guess it wasn't built then I drove to Idlewild and played Atchafalaya.
