Not a whole lot of info/rumors swirling about.

Some speculation that it could release this year since it is a direct sequel using the same engine and a lot of existing assets. Should significantly cut dev time over a new game from scratch.

Would also give the Switch a big hit for Holiday season to compete with Sony/Microsoft and their new consoles.

Rumors on a new switch model have been floating around since 2018 and we ended up with the Lite. Nothing concrete on a more powerful Switch Pro or Switch 2, though I imagine any games that might be in development for such a thing would also function on the base Switch.

Glad to hear this, thanks!

Also rumors of a new Zelda Twilight Princess/Majoras Mask for switch?

I am always searching for games like Zelda and found

-Oceanhorn Monster of Uncharted Seas - Nintendo Switch

-Stranded Sails: Explorers of the Cursed Islands - Nintendo Switch

-Northgard - Nintendo Switch

Anybody know about these?

I just read where when they were developing BOTW they had so many ideas they couldn't fit them so a 2 is the remaining ideas so should be complete sooner than many think?

I think Twilight Princess was dark, could BOTW2 be darker?

Could be like Galaxy 2 to Galaxy, which would be nice when Nintendo is overrun with ideas.

I always say the next year with a Zelda game when I hear the release date from Nintendo, reusable stuff or not. I don't think a main line Zelda has ever NOT been delayed.

Northgard's a RTS, so nothing like Zelda.

It still looks like a lot of fun, though.

Not to derail the thread but how is Links Awakening?

Finished up BOTW and looking for more Zelda.

Not a derail at all. I was going to ask about the BOTW extension pass, if it is worth it? I will be trying Link's awakening. I hesitated as I played the original back when; and this one looked like they made it more appealing to young kids. I hope not, it probably looks like this after playing BOTW though...

What is cadence of hyrule like?

I don’t know how much it is now but it’s really focused on endgame content if that’s your thing.

Basically if you like a challenge that kicks your teeth in.

Thanks In BOTW what was your most intimidating boss? For me:

But I played on WiiU; and I heard it is much easier shooting while flying and everything on switch.

It took me days to beat the very first lynel I encountered on the Zora mission. I was still a weakling and accidentally stumbled into the Zora storyline. It scared the shite out of me when I first saw it.

So I ended up buying BotW first on the WiiU because I wasn't sure if I'd buy a switch. But I ended up buying it on the Switch when they announced a sequel, just in case they had any content that required carry-over data from the original.

I can honestly say that the controls on the WiiU are much better than the both the Switch and the Switch's pro-controller, especially when fighting Lynels. For whatever reason, when targeting on the Switch, it will be off-center. So when trying to jump backwards to dodge attacks, sometimes it will jump to the side. It's terribly annoying and almost insta-death against a Lynel.

Another annoyance on the Switch version, for some reason, your horse won't always follow the road. I've had to redirect the horse multiple times on the Switch version just to get it to follow a path, where on the WiiU, you just point it almost in the same direction as a road and the horse will take over.

I've played both versions on both regular and hero mode, and the Switch has had the same issues. There have also been times where the Switch would freeze up for a second at completely random times, I guess where there's too much on the screen. The WiiU version never had that happen.

What was your least favorite thing about BOTW? I didn't like inside -whatever boss I can't remember- having to turn big wheels around riding on them finding portals to light up. I played twilight princess on WiiU recently and the puzzles were better. More like switches and shooting arrows. The big arse maze tilt things in BOTW were different.
