Yeah, they have a good selection of games. There are just too many great PS Classics on PSN.

The PSN store is 1000x better than the Xbox Live marketplace. Just my opinion.

While I'm not saying the store is bad I'm saying the actual service is subpar. Xbox live is the main component that keeps me on xbox and sonys online service is lackluster and inconsistent. In my opinion the only way for PSN to catch up in this department is to charge an online fee like live. I shouldn't have to tell you that you get what you pay for. I have no issue with paying for a better service than taking a lesser version for free.

so reading gaf, apparently sony will leave used game checks up to publishers.

whats to stop ea and activision etc from doing the same on ps4?

I think we all knew Sony had to do something relative to keep developers and publishers on board.

How and to what extent we'll have to wait and see.

This looks like a great generation to go PC & Steam only.

I can't be bothered supporting all the tom foolery these next gen consoles seem to want to force on customers into.

I have to know what this means. What makes people say this?

simple. XBL>PSN. i didn't think that was even an arguing point. I mean we pay $5/month. it should be better.

Are there numbers or facts or is it just "hey, PSN had that compromising hack thing so it sucks" type strawman?

This is what they said around their reveal. I'd hope we'll hear more details at E3.

how can i put numbers or stats on a comparison between 2 services?

i feel like that's just about everyone's opinion, that isn't completely biased towards PSN.

better service, better security, better update system, more applications, more content and ability to part chat.

but again, $5 a month.

it's been a while since you used an xbox, but you would argue differently?
i don't feel like "XBL>PSN" is that big a stretch.

No. XBL does have some more features though. Whether that's worth paying for is up to you.

Most of the trolling comes from this.

You still didn't back up your point with anything. You say it's better by saying "better X, better Y". Miggy Cabrera is better than Ian Stewart because the numbers on Baseball Reference say so. When I look at XBL and PSN, all I take them for are playing games over the internet. So, what it comes down to are features, I guess...Netflix, Amazon Instant, facebook, whatever. Aren't both somewhat equal in that?

Then there's security, which you yourself just said could have been either company.

I'm not trying to troll you here, I just don't get how you can say something is better and then not say why with any kind of fact.

i see your point. but they aren't baseball players, so i can't just go copy and paste some stats up in here to make me look smart.

it's 2 services.

Is Harold's Barber Shop > Johnson's Fresh Fades?

Depends on who your asking? Only statistical measurement would be which barbershop has more customers.

true. but we also didn't have any major outages.

XBL has many many many more apps than those.

Because a few hundred people is the same as a whole network?

I only have the GB as a sample size. Nobody here on PSN got their shite jacked. I was still able to use Netflix and everything else so that "outage" didn't really bum me out.

It's called an opinion but even a lot of PSN fanbois have admitted over the past days that Xbox has a better online service. They have said they like the XMB but that the overall service needs improving. Its not a fact but plenty of people on both sides think PS has some catching up to this gen with their network and interface.

Doesn't the PS Store now look and behave pretty much like the XBL Marketplace?

I think the hacking a network is silly argument anyway. Any network can be hacked. The damn CIA was taken offline by Anonymous.
