Are Xbox 360 games upscaled to 1080p on a regular Xbox One? Playing Saints Row and Perfect Dark Zero. These games look pretty indistinguishable from my TV's native resolution.

i got rare replay and replayed Perfect Dark. Beat it on Perfect Agent, great game

fired up Perfect Dark Zero (never played). I couldn't even get through 2 levels. what a dreadful game.

On Xbox One/Xbox One S, the 360 games are rendered at their original resolution just the same as an Xbox 360. The console then upscales to whatever resolution you’re outputting to your TV.

OG Xbox games are rendered at 960p on Xbox One, then scaled to your chosen output resolution. This is a nice boost from the original Xbox doing 480p. Xbox One X renders these games at 1920p and it looks great!

I’d also point out that Xbox One BC forces v-sync on all games, so no more pesky screen tearing. If you’re a nerd like me and you want to see framerate comparisons search for some Digital Foundry or VGTech videos on the youtubes.

Maybe it's the games themselves or the Xbox One's upscaling technique. A lot of PS3 games I own look awful scaled to 1080p.

I know the One X has some One X Enhanced versions of the BC games that they did some up scaling.
