Xbox Developer Direct coming Jan 25, Starfield to have it's own show

The Starfield support page became live not too long ago and confirmed that Starfield will be released the first half of 2023. Gardoki (RIP) said he heard play testers were really liking what what they had so far.

The gameplay they've shown so far as been roughhhhhhh. I'm not nearly as excited for it anymore. Hopefully looks better in this showcase

I like plenty of things. Starfield will probably be a fine game, but the combat in that first reveal looked absolutely horrible. Yall like to act like everything is beyond any sort of criticism though

I used to be a pretty big Bethesda fan, but lately, I’m just not as into their stuff.
I’m sure it will be a fine game, but the initial reveal didn’t appeal to me. Looks sort of like a marriage of no man’s sky and Bethesda design tropes.
I hope there are some interesting questlines and factions to get involved with, because the idea of scouring the galaxy for resources on procedurally generated worlds doesn’t grab me.

the movement is clunky af
enemies are spongey and have 0 reaction to getting shot (that first guy standing there like a sandbag as you fill them with lead)
the guns have no punch (especially the shotgun lol, go to 4:52 in your video). some really poor animations
I'm also replaying Titanfall 2 right now which has some of the best movement and shooter combat of all time, so I'm sure that's making everything look worse

yeah, that's not fair
Bethesda created their own FPS shooting mechanics with FO3, which were pretty crap, but made great strides with 4. I don't want the shooting to be piss poor but unless it's a disaster it won't deter me with that style of RPG. Again, I think what we saw was unpolished and I imagine it's in a much better place now. We'll see.

I wish..the biggest let down of my X is that nothing has been built for it..if your old console can play it, whats the point of mine..
