Man, what WAR could have been. Similar PvP/RvR with the WHF IP.
Talking about warhammer? I played that, it was decent but still lacked better end game.
I think the 3 different realms/sides of DAOC was key to it. Not just towers and such, but everything they represented and could hold. Getting darkness falls(I think it was called) opened for your realm was a big deal, and having the relics as well was a huge deal.
If 1 side was doing too well, the other 2 sides would gang up on them, and kept things balanced overall, even with the alb zerg.
With warhammer, it just didn't have the meaning and it didn't have the balance.
Shame. I was hoping for DAOC with better controls.

World of Warcraft (retail)? Consensus is that it sucks for the general population. Hardcore end-game raiders like it.

they have 155 million people who pay monthy subscriptions between 12.99-14.99 a month
might be the dumbest thing ive seen posted on the GB
" general consensus" lmaooooo

Consensus of classic players, I guess, but thanks for the information, douche.

155 million all time and worldwide maybe. No way that’s concurrent numbers. Game is smaller now than it’s ever been. Blizzard saved their arse releasing classic when they did, it has helped their numbers tremendously.

You can play WoW really casually.. but if you are wanting to raid seriously and not be stuck with shitters, you will have to dedicate an absurd amount of your free time to the game.... ask me how I know
Yeah, no way around that in Classic. You def have to sink time into gearing.
Retail has done a good job on this. I have barely ran mythics and only did 3 raid bosses on LFR. Easy to get characters geared a bit using all the new methods, like delves. Quick, easy, soloable or with a group.
I used to be big into WoW back from 2005 to WOTLK. Quit 10 years, played BFA, quit for a year, played Dragonflight and now play a little War Within.
The time required is exponentially less now. Not being a Retail fanboy... I just started a character on Hardcore. Classic has the nostalgia. I am more interested in leveling that character right now than playing Retail.

but I err on the side of shorter ones that I can actually beat (Detroit Become Human comes to mind that I just beat after putting it down for a couple years).
The plague tale games are pretty short
