Do we have to do anything special for our saves to transfer over?
Reports from people playing the full version say that when you launch it, a message pops up and asks if you want to continue with the save data from the demo.
However, if you're on a PS4, the process seems to be different:
-Be in the demo version of the game
-System > Upload > Yes > Confirm > Confirm > Yes > Confirm
-Go to the full version of the game
-System > Manage Cross Save > Download > Confirm > Confirm > Yes > Confirm
ETA:
I just downloaded it on my PS5 and when you launch the game, before you even get to the starting screen, a message pops up and asks if you want to import your save data from the demo. I said yes, and I was able to continue the game exactly where I left off in the demo, with the same gear, items, etc.
Also, if you beat the first boss in the demo, you get the special helmet I mentioned in the original post in this thread. Just rest at a Battle Flag and it should be in the Deliveries option at the bottom of the list.
Finally, if you pre-ordered and/or got the digital deluxe version, the three additional special armor sets are also in the Deliveries tab when you rest at a Battle Flag.

Welp, encountered my first game-breaking bug.
Near the beginning of the second mission there's a vengeance flag in the middle of the path. I can't interact with it and I can't get past it to progress in the level. Tried toggling my online settings, restarting the game, etc. and still doesn't change anything.
Guess I'll be waiting for a patch!

The game has been fantastic so far.
Really well designed levels and combat have been the biggest standout high points for sure.

Yup. I'm really liking it. The boss on horseback kicked my arse so many times I lost count. Finally got past him and the next level too. Really cool game.

Anyone else playing this? Debating on getting it to take a break from Hogwarts.
I loved both Niohs and all the other souls games. Sekiro isn’t my favorite and never finished so a little worried

I am. I don't think it's as good as Nioh 1/2. They dumbed down a lot of things and learning to parry/deflect is pretty much a requirement.
While the parry/deflect isn't the most important combat tool like it was in Sekiro, it's still really fricking important.
I think the best thing about Wo Long may be the respec/battle set option. After a few missions you get the ability to respec for free and create different builds. Each build can be saved and you can literally switch builds in the middle of a level at a Battle Flag (the equivalent of a Shrine in Nioh or bonfire in Souls games).
I wouldn't say I'm loving Wo Long, but it sorta scratches the Nioh/Sekiro itch.

Is this like dynasty warriors? Those games were tight

To me, it feels like Dynasty Warriors, Nioh, and Sekiro had a baby.

I don’t want a difficult game I just want to kill 100 guys and hear a cool guitar solo

Yeeeah, Wo Long is not the game for you then

I’ve beaten every souls game besides Sekiro and I’m livid I spent 70 bucks on this crap.
There’s way too many buttons and things to remember. It’s nearly impossible to time the red parry
Looking at Reddit and there many people who agree on the first boss. Zero reason to make him this difficult and turn people away from the game

Team Ninja did the same thing in Nioh 1 and Nioh 2, but they made the gatekeeper boss the third boss in each game. Definitely an interesting decision to make the first boss so hard, but the next few bosses aren't as difficult.

I beat Nioh and Nioh 2. This is so much harder

Interesting, I think the combat in Wo Long is severely dumbed down compared to Nioh 1/2. I'm not saying it's bad, just not as complicated.
Are you holding block when trying to deflect so that if you miss the deflect, you're still blocking?
Also, are you getting your morale level up to at least the boss's morale level? That makes a huge difference (especially if your morale level is higher than the boss's).

Not sure on the latter. My biggest issue is having the block and deflect buttons different.
Like the enemy turns red and I have no clue when to press O
Edit:
Got his arse! So when he gets under half his health in round two you can take him out with your divine beast. I 100% was not getting the option to do so. I reset it and finally did. Nothing like that feeling of finally getting them

This game is incredibly easy and boring compared to Soulsborne games. Deflecting is a complete joke.

Wo Long is definitely on the easy side given it's a Team Ninja game. If you want a challenging time, I would look towards Nioh instead.
Wo Long has still been enjoyable at least for satisfying combat, cool level design, and several other high points. Difficulty is not one of them unfortunately.

I have both in my Steam backlog. Might need to finally dive in.

If you do, the most important mechanic is ki pulsing (a mechanic to regain stamina).
I think most people struggle with Nioh because they try to play it like a Soulsborne game when the combat and mechanics in Nioh are a lot different.
