My son is getting a Wii for Christmas. He likes games like Call of Duty. Can yall recommend any other games along those lines that I could get for him?

Thanks in advance.

Idk bout Call of Duty World at War if he is young, i was suprised about the amount of cussing in the game and the F bomb being dropped here and there.

I had a wii, and sold it 3 months later for a 360 because I like the same types of games that your son does. The great games on the wii for me weren't shooters. In all seriousness, if you're into Call of Duty/Halo type games, you're probably better off with a 360 or a ps3, though in fairness, it's been at least a year since I played the wii, maybe the shooting games have gotten better. If you can't play call of duty online on the wii, then it really may be worth getting one of the other consoles. Best of luck!

p.s. if you stick with the wii, be sure to get the Zelda game, it occupied most of my life for a month.

Depending on the age of your son:

Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil umbrella chronicles

were both great but I likes 4 better

metroid prime corruption is a really good shooter and is a bit older so you could get it used for around 30 dollars.
mario cart
rather than getting him games you should get him a wii points card so he can download some of the old virtual console games. i find myself playing those more than anything.

Sold out everywhere

Didn't know grandpa was getting one for mine until yesterday. They are loving the sports, for now. We got them Monster Jam and Cars (the movie). Pretty cool, haven't had a video game system since the atari.

Boom Blox by Steven Spielberg is great. I bought it for my kids because other games were sold out, but it really is unique and a blast to play. My wife hates video games and she played it last night for a couple of hours after my kids went to bed. Pleasant surprise. My 5 year old boy and I agree that we like it better than Mario Kart, our previous favorite.
