Trailer for PS4/PS5

can you imagine the sales pitch for a IP license to Scag, Husqvarna, Toro, Grasshopper, Cub Cadet etc.?

"uh, yes, Mr. Toro. we'd like to render a 3D model of your best mowers to use in a video game where the user gets to virtually cut grass as a time waster on their couch."

Mr. Toro:

I tried it on Gamepass because, well why not?

It's actually pretty relaxing, but it got old real quick

There's not much to it, but I'm glad there are developers out there that make quirky stuff like this, lol.

I played it for awhile and had a blast.

I hate cutting my own grass, much less on a game. I tried it on Gamepass for PC, it was ok

I know people who are very relaxed cutting grass on their tractor. A beer, headphones, and they look forward to it each weekend in the summer. I doubt this will meet their expectations, but how many people live in big cities/condos and don't really even have grass, let alone need to do any yard work?

Can't be worse than the PowerWash Simulator: Trailer

Although props to them for making the trailer entertaining

It shocks me that there is a market for games like this.

Even in shitty ideas, there is nothing original anymore.

Released on the ZX Spectrum in Europe back in 1988.

The Farming Simulator series has a huge loyal following. One guy on Youtube has a Let's Play that's 92 videos long.

Farming Simulator 22

I admire the dedication. The dude makes more money than an actual farmer

These and the apartment kids are exactly who this is aimed at.

Think about it. To a kid in New York City a farm is just as much of a fantasy genre game as Skyrim. I didn't realize how odd it is until I spent two weeks there. I didn't see grass for two weeks and legitimately started missing the color green. After that experience, it was blatantly obvious to me who was buying all the gardening/farming simulators.
