What’s the best “realistic” racing game for PS4?

When I say realistic, I mean not the kart racers like Crash or Sonic. How are the NASCAR Heat games? Any other deep racing games out there?

Yeah, Polyphony never got around to making a "full" racing game.

Not a fan of the nascar heat games. Gran Turismo is probably the best I played. Wreckfest is a good racing game as well…if you don’t mind wrecking.

It's true.

Gran Turismo is the correct answer for PS4, but they never really went for it on PS4. Forza 7 was rated better than GT Sport.

Next Gran Turismo is scheduled to release in 2022.

I'd say GT.

For me it was underwhelming on ps4 but this is coming from a fan from the first. I was full on addicted.

Also think it's the best selling franchise under Sony.

So sport was made for more online, maybe why it was underwhelming but I did see this.

The game launched with 168 cars and 29 tracks; updates have brought the count to 324 cars and 82 track configurations as of December 2019. The free updates also added a more traditional single-player campaign mode to the game.

It could be worth a shot. Cant be an expensive game at this point.

I had forgot about this game by then.

I got on a racing kick last year and got F1, GT, and NASCAR all around the same time. F1 was easily the best and felt the most realistic

Yep. F1 is where it's at. The racing is so technical and honestly the way those cars handle makes for much better racing than the full body cars of the other games

Not that review scores matter, but F1 is pretty much best reviewed sim racer every year. I haven't played it since 2016, but it was legit then and every year is has supposedly gotten better. And F1 2021 comes out within the next month, so youre in luck if you are wanting the newest release.

If you're on xbox, a few of the older F1s are available on game pass if you want to try it out before buying the new one. I think F1 2018 & 2019 are available to play there

Edit: My bad, just seeing you are looking for PS4.
