Thinking of getting in the streaming/youtube business, and i'm looking for some tips.

software
hardware
content
personas
channel building

whatever you got, let me hear it. i've got a crappy laptop my gf is letting me borrow. it's loaded with windows movie maker for video editing and paint.net for thumbnail images. it's no where close to drdisrespect level. what are some software types i can use/upgrade to get more effects? i'm thinking i'll eventually go the green screen route and removing my background like the pros do.

i'm thinking of just simple uploads right now until i can get a slightly better internet connection to do live streams. it's all going to be captured and eventually live streamed from my ps4 so i'm curious how i'm going to capture a webcam view. i bought a playstation camera last night, but i haven't figured out how to record while playing without broadcasting.

when i get the live stream going, can i stream from my ps4, but have a webcam going on my computer overlayed on the video at the same time? i feel like there's a lot i need to know.

I want to get the SO to become an IRL streamer. Just set up a camera and let ppl watch her study.

Why not bring in a 2nd income while she is in school?

You want to do it to get paid? Getting affiliate status is easy, you just stream a lot. Partner requires an average of 75 people per stream a month. To do that, you have to be damn good at what you are playing or at least be entertaining in some way.

If you want to console stream, you'll need a good PC with a capture card and a webcam.

It'll be a pretty decent investment to get started

For like YouTube videos? I want to learn. My wife keeps telling me to get on the bandwagon and get ninja rich.

She has forced my hand to play more video games.

You'll want something like sony vegas or adobe premier for editing your videos

Edit: I have like 6tb of footage that I need to go through and edit, but I don't have any editing skills

He has an elgato stream deck, so at the touch of a button he can switch to that frame and back
