i think you should try Doom 1 out, it was made about 1993? Could be more of your "era" i suppose. No "unrealistic spotting" (since GPS systems are total fantasy) might be more your style. the floating eyeballs are pretty overpowered though

use IDKFA to get unlimited stuff too. wouldnt want you to get pwnt

2 difference that make all the difference.

1) COD's made by Activision and TreyArch. BF made by Dice.
2) MW2 is just by far a better game.

I kind of like the being able to spot people. How do the weapons upgrades work in MW2?

Bc2 gets old after while. They need to release new maps ASAP. And not the same maps redesigned for new modes like the past three "map packs"

Mw2 annoys me more than it entertains me. The mw2 community is one of the worst I've had the misfortune of getting involved in.

That being said, these are all anybody ever plays so I grin and bear it.

So how are the weapons upgraded in MW2 and how big are the games/squads.

You get new equipment through experience and you unlock new attachments by completing certain conditions like killing people with an acog scope or shooting people through walls. Pretty straightforward and the game tracks your stats.

You get attachments ulocked based on the amout of kills you have with that gun. For example. 10 kills with an AR gets you a grenade launcher. 25 gets you a red dot sight. 75= silencer.

spotting in BBC means if you see someone, or a group of people, you hit the "spot" button and it puts a mark over the enemies head, which all your teammates can see. its a way of "calling out" where the enemy is.

Wow, that's terrible.

How so?

The three main games I've played online multiplayer on are Halo 2, CoD4, and MW2 (among a few others). And the people are always the same...most are just your average gamers there to frick around and have fun, some are assholes, and then you have the douche glitchers. In pretty much every game and on every platform (well, the popular ones anyway).

we live in a world with satelites and clocks that can distinguish down to the nano second.... marking an enemy on the battlefiend isnt as strange as it may appear

I'm not saying it is. But we also live in a world where wars can be fought with sitting back and pushing buttons for nukes or drones to fire weapons. But that doesn't make for a fun game. What's the point of strategizing and positioning in a game where the other team can just be like "guys, follow my blue marker..that's where their team is.." That doesn't sound fun. UAVs, online headsets, etc. already allow for communication between the team and identifying where enemies are...why have something that just draws it out in plain black and white?

And I agree with AJF's stance on the Sitrep as well...the perk itself is not what bugs me. It's the fact that they can see a red glow from across the map. It's very similar to my paragraph above. Someone gets around a claymore and then they can see it through a wall or two? Sure. But from 500 yards away? Nah, that's stupid.

yeah im not too fond of it either, hence why i play mw2. the mark does dissapear if you get out of the enemies sight for some amount of time. but it allows for a lot of teamwork and coordination

Makes sense, I'm just anti shite that makes the game too easy and offers up shite on a silver platter. Much like the whole noobtoob/Danger Close shite. It basically requires little-to-no skill to utilize. Just point in general directions and shoot...you don't have to be aiming or actually trying to hit someone. It just hands the game to players on a silver platter, and those are things I don't like. At least with shite like Lightweight/Marathon/Commando, you have to actually run and kill someone (even if the 20-foot knife lunge is bullshite sometimes).

The thing about spotting is that it is purely optional in most cases and I'd wager that over half the people don't use it effectively. Not to mention that the marker doesn't last very long. It can help to indicate an enemy position, but it is far from a game-breaking feature.

It just seems to me that MW2 has a disproportionate amount of yelling, whiny brats and excessively loud douchebags. I can appreciate shite-talking as much as the next guy, but for every genuinely funny/clever shite-talker, there are about 50 that fricking suck. That's just my .02, take it how you will. It's my own personal opinion that voice chat is the worst addition to gaming in the past 10-15 years.
