What age for a switch

I love to play video games and want to share that with my son. He is 3 and a half now but I was wondering what age would be appropriate to start introducing it to him. I was thinking about grabbing a switch when they go on sale for black Friday because that seems to be the best for kids. Is he still too young?

One of my first memories is playing NES with my dad about 4 years old so I’d say go for it

He's probably going to suck really bad but it's not too young

My 4 year old loves to play Mario Kart. The controls for the switch are pretty simple which is great for the younger ones.

My kids have been playing since around that age. He's going to need lots of help, but it will still be a lot of fun.

My boy got into games around that age and he is actually good at them now he is 9 months older than yours. He played an old game boy and a sega mini
We are getting a switch for Christmas. He may not be ready now but will be before next year.
FYI wal mart about to sell the bundle with Mario cart at 6:30 for $300. But it will likely sell out immediately, and I do mean immediately.
I’d go ahead and order one from Best Buy, you will get it next week and can decide between now and then if you want to keep it

My three year old plays Mario kart and Pokémon. He has figured out which buttons he needs to press to attack and which to catch the Pokémon. He gets so excited when he catches a Pokémon I wish I would have given it to him sooner. Mario Kart is a work in progress

He's going to suck, but assuming the purpose is just to spend time with your kid, go for it.
