Digital Foundry on Hogwarts Legacy Switch 2 version confirms:
- Running at PS4 Levels.
-720P(internal) 30FPS.
- Closer to Base PS4 than Series S.
-Lower Textures, Lower Shadow Resolutions than Series S.
-Using alot of PS4 Assests.
- Huge difference in assests between Switch 2 and Series S(Series S being the better versions of those assests).
-Switch 2 version is using upscaling Tech That is worse than Any DLSS and FSR version in the market.
-Did not look as impressive or have the same splendor as the PC,PS5, Series X versions.
-Has concerning Framedrops during battles.
All this was in 'Docked mode' which is concerning.
In Conclusion:
Switch 2 is nowhere near a PS5, it's clear that it's closer to a Base PS4 more than anything else.

I used to do midnight/early morning releases, but too much risk nowadays. Having a bunch of tired happy nerds holding expensive electronics while filming themselves walking back to their car = honeypot for thieves.
Even in the best parts of town it's really easy to get mugged in the parking lot.
edit: Stay safe for anyone going out for midnight release. Keep those eyes on a swivel!

That said, i think 450 for 80 dollar nintendo games, based on the above, is a tad overpriced.

I got a Best Buy preorder that I will pick up that morning (frick going to the midnight release) and also snagged a Target preorder that will come in the mail

My kids play plenty of 3rd party titles on their switch and will on their switch 2 as well. I’m fairly certain we’re not the only people in existence who do this.

I think hades is all i ever played on my switch. It was an amazing game and it ran fine. But other than that, why?
I usually only ever play docked, i bet next year i get a used one for 300 and i'll replay zelda's with a pro controller and have a blast.

I got 2 preorders (delivery from Walmart, pickup from Best Buy). I'm driving 600 miles to surprise my Mom with the extra one.
Any extras I get are going to friends/family.
