Turtle Beach Earforce XP500 Gaming Headset -- Fair price?

Can anyone give me their idea of a fair price for this headset? Like new condition, and I think I paid $250+tax but wanted to get some input before I list it anywhere. I was thinking $175 locally sounds about right, but not sure of interest level at that price (Christmas is coming up so it may drive up demand).
I love this damn headset and am sad to see it go, but I just sold all the FPS games I use it for (because I'm a dumbass).
I'll get another eventually... Have any better ones hit the market?
ETA: Should add it works with any console (or PC); has RCA inputs as well as optical, and possibly digital (I forget). I believe the wireless bluetooth chat only works with 360 though (wired otherwise)

I think 150 is more fair and yes the ear force tango the astro a 50 the astro a40 2013 Ed. Are all better. I would ask 150 and u might have a hard time selling it for that

Not a bad headset, but it was just severely overpriced IMO when you can get astro a40s for the same price

Didn't know the A50 was out... Will look into that :-)
I was severely disappointed at the mic quality of the XP500... $250 phones with a mic that sounds like a $3 walmart PC mic.
I put them up for sale on CL at 150, thanks for the advice guys.

Turtle Beach quality has really gone downhill IMO.
Astro, Tritton, and Steel Series all seem to be way ahead of TB now.

Stout I have both the a50 and the tv ear force tango black ops 2 Ed. They are fairly equal headsets both having some qualities better than the other however I prefer the Astros for try hard and the tb for long casual sessions bc they are much more comfortable

I disagree. Turtle beaches high quality headsets dump onsteel series, and the TB x42s are better than all the tritton headsets except the new warheads.
But the TB x11/12/31 all gave TB bad rep since they do suck horribly.
I would buy the TB x41/42 over SS and trittons (minus tritton warheads)

Not that I have seen. Only Tritton and TB are really available in stores.
