Sounds a lot like what happened with Titanfall. They were giving away the DLC pack, so people were rushing to buy the base game, which had been $5. Nope. Bumped up to $19.

I actually bought GTA V on Ps4 over a month ago. I played a couple of hours and put it down. When I finished that game the first time I was done for good.

Wasn't going to buy at $30 anyways, but sucks that it's gone now.
Just read on the steam forums:
I don't know about the "illegal" part, but that's kind of dumb.

Some companies raised the prices on their games minutes before the sale started so they could sell their shite for the same price as before.
Rockstar did this to GTAV, Gaijin Ent did it with War Thunder, Xcom's price raised as well.
If you see any company do this on a product you can report that product for fraud, in many countries it is illegal to raise a price on a product before a big sale, its cheating and its a shite move.

Talking about Kohl's doing the same thing.
Time for a class action against Gabe.

Well the game is still probably $30, but they aren't letting you buy it by itself. What do you do?

There is always a controversy with Steam these days

Definitely a melt heating up over increasing prices for the sale.

Fez for $1.99. Jump on it, people.

This is the first time I can remember Steam pulling the raise prices then put them on sale for normal full price thing.
Looks like I am safe for day 1.

Looking for Borderlands Pre sequel and some other small titles.
Why is GTA 5 listed for $85, and discounted to $60 when it is $60 retail?

Think that is it for me. Only one I am possibly interested in.

I honestly didn't expect much of a sale for Witcher 3 and GTAV since they are so new and still selling well, but to pull that is stupid.
Posted on 6/11/15 at 1:50 pm to DoUrden
Witcher has been on sale regularly for $40 and even as low at $30.

Not through GoG and Steam, GMG which had questionable keys and other deal sites had it for less. W3 was one game I had not issue giving the developer full price for.

I rarely care about the developer for the money as much as what I am willing to spend.

He meant that given Witcher 3 is probably 200+ hours of content if you do everything, it is worth every penny.
As opposed to the normal war shooter with an 8 hour campaign and then nothing else but sandbox mmo.

Bought a piece of Dungeon Siege 3 DLC for $1.75. That's it for this round.
