Think it's worth holding out for Switch 2?

Been eyeing a Switch for a long time. There's only a small handful of games I want. I have plenty to occupy my time otherwise.

You think the Switch 2 might bring enough additional features to make waiting til September worth it, or would you just snag a Switch OLED? I have PS5 and Xbox for any hardware intensive releases.

If I were buying a switch right now I'd go used and then get the new one when it comes out or just wait. No way I'd buy a new one now though.

I didn't even know Switch Lite existed. You think Switch lite now and Switch 2 later? What's a Switch Lite do?

Smaller much cheaper switch. It just cannot doc into your tv, its only handheld. But for what you are getting its good and you can save the rest you would've spent on a switch oled for the switch 2.

If the rumors are true and it's coming out next year, then I don't see why you would want to pull the trigger on an original Switch at this point.

Switch 2 should be backwards compatible

If you don't want to spend the money on both...just wait and whatever games you want now you will still be able to add to that consoles library

Lite is as stated simply a handheld gaming system. Think high end Gameboy

A regular switch or Oled can connect to the TV like a regular console or go portable

Probably that. I still have so many games to finish.

Like a 10% chance it comes out in 2024 at this point, probably less.

IF there is a Direct Announcement AND it's announced before Christmas - that might increase to 20%.

Switch 2 is most likely 2025 right now.
