It's in the top 6 or 7, but Bloodborne and Last of Us are better.

Those 2 are good but they don't touch the depth of Witcher 3.

It took me 25 game hours to stop playing Gwent and actually progress.

if by depth, you mean 10,000 question marks littered over the map, then sure.

would've much preferred if they used their resources to craft a bigger main quest with more stuff like the Bloody Baron as opposed to 100 monster dens and 218 buried treasures in Skellige.

they totally pissed away Radovid and the story kinda fizzled out after Battle of Kaer Morhen. that shite was probably the most epic moment of the generation, I will give them that.

there were days, entire weekends even, where I did nothing but play Gwent.

You don't like open world games, Carson. Just get it out there. I think it will help us to grow as people.

Certainly wasn't talking about the Mutagen/Alchemy systems, the branching choices, the sheer amount of non-combative content within the game, superior graphics, or tiny flavor details like Geralt's beard slowly growing over time.

And yes, there is something to be said about the amount of side quests in the game.

If Witcher 3 was a Sony exclusive he wouldn't even try to debate this.

I never claimed they we're Japanese developers.

Just that you were slaving for the Japs.

all great stuff. more systems because the game is much grander in scale and because of the world it's set in. I'm not sure you can really use graphics though , BB and Witcher were a wash on PS4 and LoU is a late PS3/early PS4 game.

Most of Witcher's choices don't really matter either, save for 4-5 story choices that have minor changes on the world (like who rules Skellige) + the ending choices. Witcher 1 and 2 choices felt much more impactful.
