Not shite. That mechanic almost single-handedly ruined what should have been two of the best games of all time. Just a miserable experience.

To give a little more detail, you only have a certain amount of time to use your weapons. There is a power meter. Basically, you go into warrior mode for some time where you can fight. When it runs out, you can't use the weapons until you build the meter back up. I didn't mind it too much because the point of the game is the echoes, but I could see some getting frustrated with it.

Once you nab some of the Darknut echoes, you don't need the Warrior mode, anyway.
