Saw on Looper someone beat the game in 65 minutes. Is that impressive?

Pretty impressive considering you have to finish three shrines just to leave the plateau, and then you'd need a ton of extra heart foods, probably some defense and attack up boosts. Really, the collection of strong enough weapons, collection and cooking of enough meals/elixirs is what's amazing about it.

Some people are putting boulders into stasis, giving them several whacks and then clinging to the side to travel places much faster

I swear Nintendo gets bashed a lot. But man when they release a game they've really worked hard on, you can trust it will ascend to GOAT status.
they haven't released a game this splooge worthy since Mario galaxy. wii u was the first Nintendo console that didn't have that insane high quality Nintendo game that is a must play.

well technically that's no longer true, because this game is on wii u as well, but it's the last game they'll ever release on that console.

Don't fight Ganon during the Blood Moon, because apparently it revives him as well.

Here's my advice: just charge at him. Don't approach him from a distance. Get weapons with long reach and keep shooting him in the face. He killed me once, but I got him the second time.

Apparently there is a Silver one that is even tougher. Can't confirm though.

Yes,and it's been glorious

I've probably not even seen 10% of total content on this game yet (shrines, koroks, main quests, side quests, loot, npcs, mini games, mobs)

Just bring about 80 shock arrows. The strategy works. I've noticed these are a lot like bosses from the old days. You essentially have to die in order to learn the pattern impeach time. Just gotta keep facing him and find a rhythm

Absolutely!! Not sure if anyone else is playing this with their kids but it was fun as shite. We both figured it out while I was playing and then the little guy took his link through following the same steps. He even beat Ganon in fewer tries than me.

This is the perfect mix of challenge and accessibility (on account of me not being the gamer I once was and him being nine).

Just perfect game.

Granted I came armed to the teeth with tons of shock arrows, an electric sword, and a lightning rod, but if you have a spear, it should reach him. Electric moves are best for Waterblight, but I did realize I came to the battle unintentionally well armed for it.

I didn't get hit once during the first half of it, and beat the dog shite out of him. I just stayed under him for as long as I could, got hit with a few ice blocks, but I think I only used a single fairy on the second go around. Pikes have a big enough reach to hit him if you're under him. And if there aren't ice blocks coming at you, shoot him with shock arrows.

As I said, my arsenal was shockingly (no pun intended) well adept to take him out, so that was just me.
