bugs are hard as shite to catch, especially ones that can fly

catching fairies is really difficult. i'm sure there's a net or something somewhere that I haven't found even though it was staring me in the face

I've been wondering when the bug catcher's net pops up. Guess it doesn't?

Ive caught a few but I think by luck.

I think you need to sneak. only thing I haven't really tried but bugs haven't really had my attention in this game

anyone climb on top of a sleeping hinox and take all of his shite? I did it first try and since then I've been unable to do it without waking him up

Since you are pretty deep in. Does it feel like Zelda yet? Past Zeldas for me felt more Western. BotW feels like the first Zelda with heavy Eastern influence.

it's an eastern style is really big with the sheikah (even in SS, impa sat by a tree for 1000 years so this isn't really new so much as the first time we've seen sheikah all over the place)

you'll notice for instance that doors in kakariko village slide whereas in other villages and places they open.

when you get to the rito village you're going to hear a remixed piece of music that's so awesome...it's a Zelda game for sure.

I spent 30 hours this weekend, and I still don't think i'm very deep into it.

2/4 beasts

no master sword

8 heart containers, 3 stamina containers, very few side quests. I actually stumbled onto the zora beast before I went to speak to impa.

Yeah you are right. I noticed that right away when I left Kakariko Village.

I have 8 heart containers currently. No stamina. But tons of side quests. Trying to not leave an area without speaking with everyone during the day and at night.

One thing I do love are the other travelers. I love going to a new place and seeing familiar faces from the road.

I tried getting to the final boss last night. I've gotten pretty good at dealing with guardians (Akkala tower was a bitch at first) but I ended up in a locked room with a lynel which I've not come close to being able to kill even with the weapons in the castle.

Anyone come across any of the dragons? One of the most epic things I've just randomly stumbled upon in a game.

I've seen 3 of them so far. Haven't gotten close to any of them though.

I've seen 3 of them, or maybe 2, and 1 of them I saw twice.

I've seen two but I'm not sure what to do with the second one. It only shows up periodically and I tried following it for a while but it eventually disappeared without really doing anything.

Is the only way to get heart and stamina containers through the many shrines?

They're more Asian inspired dragons, so they really don't seem likely to be an enemy.

cooking. one piece of meat and one ingredient that has the status effect for hearts or stamina will...play with it from there

make elixirs (critter + monster part) for haste, enhanced strength, defense. also combatting elemental damage either from weapons and enemies or just to survive the weather.

I actually have the sidequest for them, I just haven't touched it and don't know what to do

SPOILERS
they want you to find 3 dragon skeletons and they're extinct so the dragons may be spirits. i'm not sure if you follow them to the skeleton or if you have to fight them

The first one I found was actually pretty straightforward in and of itself; I got what I needed from it fairly easily (maybe there's more to it?). I've found a couple of the other places where the item they drop is used but I don't know how to get it.

Does the cooking make it permanent or is more of just a timed thing?

no, it's timed...more of the status granting ingredient and you get longer time

6-10 minutes is good enough to brave the weather and get to where you need or do what you need

Any time given ingredient grants you time based on 1.5 to 2.5mins per ingredient. They combine also.
